It is that time of year. Visitors from all over the world are starting to pour back into Myrtle Beach. Whether they are fleeing a continued winter in the northern states, are here to play golf, visit family or just enjoy our early spring, we are happy to welcome them. The inflow of guests brings many questions that some may be afraid to ask. So for this month’s blog post, we will try to help you and answer some of the most common questions before you think of them.
Here are some updated HIP FAQs about Nacho Hippo to help you before you come to visit with us.
Where is Nacho Hippo located?
We have 2 fantastic locations to serve you. You can find our North Beach location across from Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Visit us at 850 North Beach Blvd, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. You can find our southern location in the heart of Market Common, 1160 Farrow Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Parking is hosted in the parking garage directly behind our restaurant at this location. There is plenty of parking for your entire ball team and or family! Both sites offer the same menu and excellent service.
Are reservations required?
Nacho Hippo has and will continue to operate as a first-come, first-serve establishment. We believe that to provide the best service possible, to provide the perfect dining experience to every guest, we must seat tables in the order they arrive every time they visit us. But don’t fret, except for a few weeks each year; our wait time is typically limited. We attribute this to excellent customer service and a fantastic family atmosphere.
But what about large parties or “private” dining?
Our beach-oriented and family-friendly dining allows for larger groups. If you are interested in hosting a private party, send us a message through any of our social media platforms, and we can work to find a dining solution for you. Looking to take an order to go? We can absolutely accommodate you.
Ok so, what are your hours of operation?
We are open daily from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm.
But do you have a bar?
That is correct. We do have a bar, and our talented bartenders are more than capable of mixing up some great beach-themed cocktails or anything other alcoholic concoction you can dream up. But our family-focused approach means we stop seating at 10 pm. We do recommend you try the Ocean Potion Bucket or one of our Specialty Margaritas….if you are of the proper age, of course.
That’s great for adults, but do you have a kid’s menu?
We absolutely do! You can find kid-sized tacos, quesadillas, nachos, chicken tenders, and even corn dogs on our kid’s menu. We are family-friendly in everything we do. We want you to bring your family and friends to hang out with us. We made sure to include menu items that would appeal to anyone.
What about the rest of the menu? What can we expect?
We have labeled ourselves as a Mexican Cantina. But we haven’t limited ourselves to traditional Mexican fare. We are a good blend of Mexican Tex-Mex and host to some traditional Mexican dishes with our own personal flair added in. We are best known for our “Best of the Beach” nachos. A dish with hundreds of possibilities if you choose to create your own! We also have quesadillas, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, and appetizers.
What about outdoor seating?
Both of our locations offer a fun, fiesta-based vibe that provides an open-air experience. On warmer days, our North Beach location will roll up the doors to create an outdoor restaurant feel complete with an outdoor stage, picnic tables, low-top and high-top tables, and a full-service bar. The Market Common location has the same roll-up doors but also boasts is additional indoor seating, patio seating that overlooks the lake, as well as a private dining area. The indoor area offers booth seating, low-top and high-top tables, and a full-service bar seating area. Regardless of the location you choose, we hope you will enjoy the casual, laid-back, family-friendly environment we have created for you.
What if we want to take our food to go? Or have it delivered?
At this time, we do not offer delivery services, but we can make EVERYTHING To-Go! We would be happy to prepare your meal for you to take home. Just give us a call to place your order, and then come pick it up!
What about your cool shirts? How do I get one of those?
Yes, yes, and more yes! We have t-shirts, hats, stuffed hippos, sweatshirts, and many other cool souvenirs for you to take home. They make much better gifts than a box full of nachos…maybe. You have to grab them in-store, but if you forgot to grab it before you left, send us a message to one of our social accounts. We will help you out. Also, don’t forget the Gift Cards! You can order them online before you visit by going to https://divinedininggroup.cardfoundry.com/giftcards.php. Use them on food, beverages, and/or merchandise!
We heard you are part of a larger restaurant group. Is that true?
It sure is! We belong to the Divine Dining Group family of restaurants. The Divine Dining Group is responsible for River City Cafe, home of the Best of the Beach burgers and fries. Bubba’s Fish Shack and their Best of the Beach Seafood. If you like southern fried seafood, you are going to love Bubba’s, Fish Shack. Looking for a low country-style restaurant that is perfect for locals and visitors alike? Check out Pawley’s Raw Bar. They feature Boiler Pots, fresh catch offerings, oysters, crab legs, and so much more! Last but certainly not least is the perennial winner of the Best of the Beach Best Pizza category, Ultimate California Pizza, the perfect pizza for picky people and people who love creative creations.
