At Nacho Hippo we are passionate about providing a creative menu that’s as unique as our decor and atmosphere. Although we’re infamous for our ‘Best of the Beach’ Nachos, we also enjoy offering a wide variety of tacos with a twist. Visit either the Nacho Hippo in The Market Common or Nacho Hippo in North Myrtle Beach when you’re ready to take Taco Tuesday to a whole new level.
Our unique list of tacos are not your average meat, cheese and lettuce ordeal. Nothing is off limits when it comes to ingredients and we’ve taken creative liberty when it comes to the contents we fill up our taco shells with. Searching for something from the sea? Try our Baja Fish Taco, which features grilled, blackened, or fried fish paired with crisp cabbage slaw and spicy citrus mango for a kick! Try our version of a lobster roll in a shell with our Rock Lobsta Taco which consists of crispy fried lobster, honey mustard sauce, mixed greens and mango salsa.
Get a ‘Taste of the South’ in a shell when you order one of our Mrs. Daisy or Carolina Kid Tacos. Mrs. Daisy is a mixture of fried green tomatoes, mixed greens, pimento cheese, spicy mayo and red peppers that all fuse together to give you a taco with a southern twist that your taste buds are sure to enjoy. At Nacho Hippo, our barbecue is served on a shell instead of a bun. The Carolina Kid contains pulled pork piled on high and topped with plantation slaw before it’s drizzled with sweet and sour honey sauce.
Still not sure what to order? Give one of our most popular menu items a try. A favorite of both local and tourists alike are the Love You Long Time, Rikki Tikki Tavi, and Bangin’ Shrimp Taco are a sure fire hit! You’ll fall in love with the orange chili chicken, melon salsa, mixed greens, spicy mayo, and cashews in the Love You Long Time Taco. Take a trip to India with our Rikki Tikki Tavi taco, which features shredded chicken marinated in Indian curry sauce with fire roasted veggies, lime, and fresh cilantro. Or add a little spice to your meal with the Bangin’ Shrimp Taco, which combines fresh shrimp with a spicy red chile sauce and mango salsa, all wrapped in a griddled flour tortilla.
If you can’t pick a favorite, we encourage you to mix and match! Unite your love of veggies and meat by pairing the Veg Head with the Kahuna. Or try sushi in a taco shell with our Kamikaze, which is seared tuna, lettuce, seaweed salad, japanese pepper blend and a drizzle of wasabi jalapeno may. Torn between ordering Mexican or Thai? You don’t have to choose with our Thai One On which gives you the best of both worlds. Our spicy red curry chicken packs a punch wrapped in a tortilla with spring roll slaw, toasted coconut, and Thai peanut sauce. And no problem if you want to stay inside your taco comfort zone and stick to what you know and order a Gringo, which comes with your choice of juicy taco beef, shredded chicken or pork. The toppings include Monterey Jack cheese, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and crema.
Our tacos come served in a griddled flour tortilla or you can enjoy them on a crunchy hard shell or corn tortilla at your request.
